stephanie arnoldStephanie Arnold de Verges is a management consultant and owner of Government & NonProfit Consulting Services, a consulting practice specializing in process improvement, organizational assessment, strategic planning and group facilitation. Stephanie received her master's degree in public administration with an emphasis on government and non-profit management from the Maxwell School of Citizenship at Syracuse University, which offers the top-ranked public administration program in the nation. Stephanie is the 1990 Harry S. Truman Scholar from the State of Oklahoma and one of four Oklahomans to earn the rank of Certified Professional Facilitator (CPF). Stephanie has completed Advanced Consultants Training with BoardSource.

Stephanie's experience includes service in local government through the City of Tulsa — Mayor's Office; state government working with the Oklahoma Department of Commerce — International Division; and federal government via the U.S. Department of State — Embassy Paris and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Nonprofit experience includes the Children's Defense Fund, a national advocacy organization based in Washington, DC and Community Action Project of Tulsa County, a Tulsa agency working to help low-income families to become self-sufficient. Stephanie's private sector experience involves work on the management consulting team for WilTel Communications and later service as that company's Community Relations Director. Successful client engagements include government entities as well as various nonprofit organizations, ranging from start-ups to established United Way member agencies.

Mia Leighty

mia leightyMia (Margaret) Leighty joined Government & NonProfit Consulting as an Associate in 2012. Mia's collaborative approach guides her work in facilitation, strategic planning, research, and analysis.

She obtained her bachelors degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Communications from Oklahoma State University. Mia's skills and experience include professional development facilitation, strategic planning co-facilitation, writing, editing, data analysis, project management and event production.

Long involved in the Tulsa non-profit community, Mia is interested in advocating for others and working to improve her community. She is also a contemporary dancer in Tulsa and produces her own classes combining movement meditation with music that ignites creative self-expression. Certified in Yoga Education, Mia has taught elementary students the concepts of yoga and meditation. In 2015 she will once again collaborate with DVIS and Women In Recovery to produce the local event of the global One Billion Rising movement to put an end to violence against women and girls.
